Month of February: Gaining A Higher Consciousness While Waiting

Finally February has arrived and it seriously felt like January was like for 6 months and I know I am not the only one thinking that? February the combination of celebrating that ONE day of love ( love should be given and shown everyday not just one darn day!) and Black History Month but I celebrate that everyday and cannot forget President’s Day (especially Presidents of the past lol!) Moving on...February the 2nd month of 2018 and boy has a lot occurred in just a few short weeks or long weeks I should say. This month’s blog post will not be long because it is very straight to the point. My mom use to and still does say there is a blessing in the waiting and I always believed her but sometimes I am not always patient especially when I have a goal in mind. I have always been and unlearning the learnt behavior of needing a time stamp on when things should happen. It mingles with the idea of thinking you have control but you really do not. I guess you get to the point of just letting it all go and relying on your faith to get you to that goal. What is even more interesting is the temperance one should have while waiting and I am not referring to the mental but to the spiritual aspect. Everyone’s level of patience is different and I find it amusing when people try to teach their way of doing it when in fact that their way may not work of others. different strokes for different folks!

Gaining a higher consciousness while waiting occurs the moment you begin to relax and understand where you are and how you came to this certain time in your life. Reflecting greatly on the things you wish to accomplish and knowing how to make those things become a reality. Just like me my book was three years in the making and an opportunity presented itself from a publisher that believed in my work like I did. Prayerfully enough that dream I had planted in my mind eventually came true and it is now finally here! It came out at the time it was suppose to and not a moment sooner. A few things occurred to me that the universe has its own special way of letting you know when your a the right place at the wrong time and the wrong place at the wrong time but it also drops major hints but you have to be aware and conscious of it ( there is a difference between the two words!) Things are subjected to change at any given time so it is best to live fully in the present and enjoy it. We all have our internal battles that we deal with daily and having to wait allows us time to really look at what is unfolding in front of us and instead of trying to get rid of it it is best to try to understand it. It is just like a young child coming to you and asking questions and will not let up until you acknowledge them and give them an answer. While waiting we gain a better understanding of why things that came and gone had to come in the first place. Each time you are presented with a task to wait instead of getting slightly discouraged look for the understanding and then wisdom will come along later. #LiveLifePositive
