Months of April to May: Mask Off

Hey y'all life has been lifting so I am slowly getting back into the habit of blogging regularly. Given the current state of the world we have to be reminded that good things can still happen and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, just don't keep thinking its the train...we don't need that kind of negativity in our lives LOL! One thing I always like to make abundantly clear is that the only type of advice I give is common sense and have never provided advice to marriage folks or those in relationships as I am very single. Given my disclaimer of I am not an expert on you! I merely share some of my life experiences so people can learn, grow and make healthy decisions for themselves. Spreading knowledge is the real wealth as well as being rich in spirit. So let's get to shall we...

I figured if January to March can be considered as stripping everything then April to May would be considered the last thing is the mask off. When I say that I am referring to the idea and reality of the ego creating a false narrative for people to get thru each day. Walking around with blinders never solved anything and at any given time the awareness of knowing you can make a change can hit. The people that I have observed you can tell who is operating ego verses their spirit. There is very much an autopilot feeling that can't be ignored like there is no soul involved. It amazes how many people do this day in and day out and it has become extremely too normal. There is a certain level of people pleasing that I think some people have not grown out of and that can stem back into childhood.

The need of wanting approval and seeking that validation from family or even strangers. What happened to seeking God's approval and that it is enough. I strongly feel that there comes a time and point when your spirit gets tired of the mediocre occurrences in life and solicits God for an inward change that will invoke an outward change. Ripping and destroying the mask completely and the true nature of everything is exposed. The next step is for anyone that goes thru this is: what happens next? How do you properly cultivate a new way of living? I believe the first step is to be thankful for the shift and embrace the next stage as a gift and a blessing and view it like a 5 year old on a new adventure. Keeping a child-like view shifts your mindset that you have the ability to do just about anything you want.

We have to remind ourselves in the current state is not the final transformation. I am always reminded of what my grandmother would say and I have say it in the past " how are you treating life?' If you take the time to take close inventory of the people, place and things that you have allowed in your life, you can truly ask yourself: are you living or just merely existing due to certain circumstances? It requires such a delicate observation on how you are responding to life's happenings and what you are actively doing to change the narrative in your story. No one can write you as a bad character unless you haven't address the chaos and confusion you caused. Somewhere between leaving the old and embracing the new, you feel as sense of duty to be the highest and truest vibration of yourself where you ultimately decide to rip the masks off and just be brutally real and honest. Causing unwarranted conflict in anyone's life has consequences that God will bring and watch you work through it, breaking you all the way and letting you re-build yourself into an entirely new entity.

Eventually, you will tire of the mask and realize how much was hidden due to poor focus and discipline. You can't keep fooling yourself and thinking you have those that know you fooled as well. Time to lift and shift...

Remember to be good to yourself and others and always #LiveLifePositive
